Nowadays, the integral grain storage facilities have incorporated new cutting-edge technologies in all areas related to the transport and storage of materials.

These new and innovative technologies, which have marked a new storage philosophy, have made it possible to transport and store further, higher with new storage levels, with greater transport performance and new, more precise machinery with more accurate measuring systems, for which the structural elements that maintain and secure them have been adapted to these demands by means of new and innovative forms of fastening.

A clear example of this updating of fastening systems are the towers in their different typologies: Towers for measuring scales, elevator fastening towers, towers or connecting rods for fastening gangways and grain processing towers.

These structural models must not only serve as fastening and fixing elements for storage and measuring equipment, elevators or conveyors, but must also have an added value such as:

• Having their own entity of rigidity and adequate massiveness against the frequencies of the different machinery they are protecting, avoiding the transmission and amplification of vibrations.
• Their deflections and deformations must not only comply with current regulations, they must also be adapted to the needs of the client to ensure the stability and useful life of the connections and discharges in their installation, their conveyors and elevators, whatever the distance to be covered or the height to be reached.
• Simplicity and structural standardisation to minimise the number of elements that make up the structures, which leads to a larger free surface area that allows for fewer limitations and interferences for connections and material discharge pipes, a larger surface area for conveyor entrances and exits and greater freedom in the arrangement of elevators and machinery on walkable platforms.
